About

Hi there,

My name is Cao Vân Anh, and I come from Vietnam. This website was created to keep track of my English writing skills and publish some “knowledge worth sharing” (a modified slogan from TED’s: Ideas worth spreading) as well.

To begin, I would like to explain the name of this website – “brillbro”. As you know, my name is Anh – which is “brilliant” figuratively and literally “brother” (older brother) in Vietnamese. Therefore, “brillbro” is simply the combination of “brilliant” and “brother” :)))

At the time I initially wrote this webpage, I wasn’t 19 yet. I was just a freshman at the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University. I once used to regret not keeping an online journal sooner. However, I strongly believe in “Better late than never, ” so I still keep my chin up and try my best to maintain this.

That I can avoid making linguistic errors is out of the question because I’m just an English learner. Should you come across any of my grammatical or spelling mistakes, feel free to let me know and suggest a correction (if possible), and I’ll really appreciate that ^^

Update:

Initially, I started this online journal just to record my journey throughout my course at my home university without focusing on any particular area of interest. Time goes by, and I’ve realized that no matter which career I pursue, one of my central concerns is to contribute to the field of education. Therefore, this website can be considered a major part of my teaching portfolio. Here, I would like to share my real-life experiences, stories, reflections, and others related to my education career – the thing I used to feel bored with.

Update (again):

Hey, I’m writing these lines in July 2022.

It’s been 5 years since I started this website. I’ve been through so many ups and downs, and now I’m unsure whether it’s up or down, lol.

Anyway, I’m so grateful for what I’ve got *touch wood*

More importantly, I’ve realized what is my ultimate goals in life. Maybe my mission is to live well and help as many people as possible. That’s all. Simple as it seems, I’ve spent years wrestling just to find my faith.

Stay simple and humble as much as possible.
