Merry Christmas 2020

In the past, when I was a high school kid, I mean during my junior high school years, I was looking forward to this festive occasion.

It’s not because of my religion (as I’m a Buddhist), but because it was when I had completed all of my end-of-term tests and had some more free time to draw “cozy and comfy” pictures on my beloved desk at my warm home.

Gradually, when my workload at school became bigger and bigger, I had no time for myself, let alone for my own hobby. Anyway, it doesn’t really matter now. I’ve sacrificed my sincere inner happiness, being a painter, just to pursue the academic career, which seems to secure my financial health in the future, compared to a more unstable job as an artist with too much freedom. Then, Christmas was nothing but a normal day for me since then on.

However, today, after a tiring day at work, I went to this coffee shop with two of my coworkers, just to “feel the vibe” like everyone here did, before we came home and continued this rat race.

Life is simple, right?
